We would like to confirm to you that all your concerns have been communicated to the responsible departments. We allow all kind of cars in our parking lot, some guests (especially divers) do rent pick-up/ dive truck others just regular cars. We are very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with our front desk staff due to the upgrade and check-out, our renovated Studio's are our most expensive rooms, but we do understand that you prefer the closeness to the ocean and fish. Our apologies that we did not exceed your full resort expectations this time. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the resort location and our comfortable Ocean Front Deluxe rooms. Thank you very much for choosing Divi Flamingo Beach Resort & Casino again, we highly appreciate your feedback as repeater guest. Review comment Guest Relations Manager responded on Feb 4, 2020 The hotel won't blow your socks off with the luxuries of a 5-star hotel, but it surely provided my family with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Still, it was worth it and we would go back. Might have been cheaper to seek a meal plan. Breakfast buffett costs $14.25 per person and a lunch meal averages about $11 without any plan. May need to directly call the hotel to make package arrangements. We didn't realize this was an option until we arrived and spoke to other guests, but there are hotel food plans available. There is a small casino on premises if that peeks your interest. There is no sandy beach, per se, but rather a concrete sea-stone pier, but it was still a blast. My wife and i took turns diving each day while the other enjoyed time with our daughter in the pool or ocean. It was a relatively short and safe walk along the waterside road to the town where we found different restaurants to try each night. Our hotel met expectations since we were looking for something family-friendly that met our budget, which also provided an on-site dive shop and close location to town. This island had the best diving by far and is much more reserved and 'untouched' when compared to Aruba. We'd previously been to Aruba and Curacao and wanted to complete the 'ABC islands' trifecta. In late January 2014, my wife and I took our 6-month old daughter to Bonaire. Hopefully they improve their customer service. Very disappointed in the office help this year. I love this place for the ocean and location. The dive trucks should park on the street. Some times you have to park on the street. They allow dive trucks and others to park in the guest parking lot. A very small parking lot is provided for rental cars. Finally, that was corrected but not an apology.Īnother problem is parking. They apparently didn’t check the cards which they pass out. They charged two bills to us that weren’t ours for food and drinks. This shouldn’t have happened.Ĭhecking out was a problem too. I argued with them until they put me where I belonged. Actually online the studios were cheaper, so it wasn’t an upgrade. If I wanted the studio with a kitchen, I would have paid for it. We stay in deluxe to watch the ocean fish from our balcony, literally five feet away. The studio was not on the water but a distance from the water. This time not great.įirst, checking in they tried to “upgrade” us to a studio. You can jump into the water just feet from the deluxe rooms. I love the location and closeness to the ocean and fish.
